Credit Controller
* Job Type: Fixed Term (13 months), Full-time
* Location: Maldon, Essex, CM9

We are seeking a temporary Credit Controller to join our finance team at our Head Office in Maldon, Essex. This position is set to start from May 2026 for a period of 13 months. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the sales ledger and maintaining strong, professional relationships with our customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Chasing outstanding debt.
* Reconciliation and management of a designated section of sundry and unallocated cash.
* Resolving account queries promptly and accurately.
* Supporting the day-to-day running of the sales ledger function.
* Ensuring records are kept up to date and in line with company procedures.
* Producing weekly/monthly sales & debtors’ analysis.
* Producing direct debit collections.
* Handling general ad-hoc administrative duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience working within a high-volume sales ledger or credit control environment.
* Confidence in obtaining payment while maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Calm, professional approach to handling potentially sensitive or challenging conversations.
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, able to liaise at all levels within the business.
* Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Professional and well-presented manner.
