IT Field Engineer
* Truro, Cornwall
* Up to c£32,000 per year + Company Car

Skills and Experience:
* Travel to client sites across Cornwall to provide IT support and troubleshooting.
* Install and configure IT hardware and software (servers, PCs, printers, networking devices).
* Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows environments.
* Carry-out basic networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs).
* Keep accurate records of all work and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with the Plymouth-based Support Desk team on escalated issues.
* Deliver friendly, professional customer service, offering guidance and reassurance when needed.
* Undertake training and to assist in training other or new members of staff as required.
* Undertake other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.
* Work in accordance with all company procedures and guidelines.
NB: A full UK Driving licence is essential (if you don’t have a driving licence then your application won’t be considered I’m afraid)
The Opportunity:
My client working within the technology sector are currently looking to recruit for an IT Field Engineer that will see you reporting into the Field Service Manager and where you’ll be out and about, visiting different client sites.
You will be providing on-site IT support as well as conducting installations and maintenance work and will need to adopt a flexible approach to your IT Support duties as every day will be different, with new environments, new challenges and varying technologies to work with.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, solution-focussed, with strong communication skills - both for liaising with colleagues internally but also when communicating to clients with varied IT literacy.
Previous field experience is not required; this role could be the ideal move for someone currently in a desk-based IT support role who is looking for a more varied, hands-on position.
