The Manufacturing Mechatronic Technician performs and ensures that the manufacturing equipment is in working condition, providing the necessary preventive and corrective maintenance to facilitate production without defects caused by the equipment.
General Responsibilities
• Recommends services and calibrates test equipment by making regular performance inspections, planning preventative maintenance and repairing defective equipment or systems.
• Performs repairs and preventative actions on equipment within the production.
• Maintains the deployment of new equipment.
• Recommends preventive actions with a real risk of equipment or infrastructure problems.
• Maintains correction and continuous improvement events for the performance of production equipment.
• Handles diagnostic tasks and repair of various production equipment, following the best safety practices and minimizing downtime due to equipment breakdown.
• Timely informs the supervisor and relevant staff about maintenance issues related to the technological equipment during unplanned repairs.
Experience / Qualifications
• Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Key responsibilities for this role include:
· To assist with the maintenance of high volume automated production equipment and machinery as required including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical fault finding and repair.
· To conduct planned and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
· To perform machine and production setup’s and changes.
· To assist with continuous improvements to high volume automated production equipment and machinery.
· Maintain documentation and records including technical documents and reports.
Candidates must have the following:
1. · Time served apprentice qualified to HNC (minimum) in Electrical & Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering, or Level 4 Qualification (NVQ/HNC)· Minimum of two years’ work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment· Technical experience in maintenance and fault finding on electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems· Familiar with mechanical drives and conveyor systems, electro-pneumatics, electrical control systems, PLC (any language).· Candidates will have a distinct advantage if they possess previous experience and have a good knowledge of automated production equipment and a flair for PLC, robotic control, camera scanning and camera imaging systems added to a sound awareness of mechanics.Must have permanent right to work in the NI
