The role Are you a strong communicator with a background in repairs and Maintenance within Local Housing Authority? If yes, then this may be the perfect role for you! We have a great opportunity that has arisen within our Damp & Mould Team for a Specialist Surveyor. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Senior Specialist Surveyor and take charge of conducting damp and mould surveys in residents' homes and communal spaces. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing underlying issues and crafting detailed corrective work specifications. The team covers properties across London, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Sussex, with your areas to be confirmed. You'll be given the option of working in a hybrid way when appropriate and as agreed with your manager. Key Responsibilities: Undertaking damp & mould surveys in residents' homes and communal areas, to assess corrective actions and produce schedules of work. Liaising with operational colleagues to provide technical support and assistance. Ensuring that residents are kept informed throughout the Damp and Mould intervention process and that any concerns raised are addressed to their satisfaction. Undertaking random quality inspections of completed works to ensure they comply with organisational requirements and deliver expected outcomes. What you'll need Previous knowledge and experience of a similar type of role. Self-driven and can work effectively under own direction or as part of a team. Trade or operational background Can work flexibly, prioritise, and manage competing demands. Effective written and verbal communication skills to meet a range of audiences.
