Salary: £13.50 Per Hour – rising to £14.50 after probation
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-1:30pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a Welder to join a forward-thinking manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement, quality, and teamwork. The role involves MIG welding thin steel tubing, working to high standards using jigs, and contributing to a culture of efficiency, learning, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
14. MIG weld thin steel tubing using jigs (no drawings required)
15. Weld and assemble products to a consistently high standard
16. Take ownership of quality and minimise defects at every stage
17. Meet daily production targets through effective workflow management
18. Conduct detailed quality checks on all welds
19. Maintain welding equipment and tools to a high standard
20. Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment
21. Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
22. Work flexibly and support cross-functional team activities
23. Follow housekeeping standards and workplace organisation practices
24. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
The Successful Candidate:
25. Previous MIG welding experience (up to 1 year preferred)
26. Good understanding of welding equipment setup, operation, and maintenance
27. Ability to assemble components using hand and power tools
28. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
29. Knowledge or interest in continuous improvement/Lean principles (desirable)
30. Confident communicator, comfortable contributing in team discussions
31. Strong awareness of health and safety procedures, including PPE use
32. Professional, positive, and proactive attitude
33. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
34. Open to personal development and continuous learning
