Job Duties:
Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
Implement individualised education plans under the guidance of the class teacher
Assist with the development and implementation of educational activities tailored to meet the needs of SEN students
Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a caring and understanding manner
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
Experience working with SEN students
Understanding of special education needs and strategies to support student learning
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Additional qualifications in Special Education or Teaching Assistant training is desirable
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Experience with SEN students in an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
First Aid training
Working Conditions:
Work in a school environment with regular classroom activities
Potential exposure to challenging behaviours from students with SEN
Full-Time hours with occasional flexibility required
