Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced production manager on behalf of a well established company based in Burntwood. This role is a permanent position with immediate starts available. You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday – Friday. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
Responsibilities
* Manage daily production activities to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
* Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
* Oversee quality control measures to guarantee that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Utilise ERP systems and SAP for effective inventory management and production planning.
* Lead a team of production staff, providing training and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular assessments of production processes and equipment, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied effectively.
* Prepare reports on production performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
* Familiarity with SAP and other ERP systems is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Experience with quality control processes and standards in manufacturing.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the production process.
