Central Employment is working with an established and growing Consumer Goods organisation, industry leaders in their respected category, with a global customer and partner reach. They have a new opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to support their in-house Marketing team on all creative aspects.
Junior Graphic Designer:
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll contribute creative ideas to bring products to life, produce sketches and computer-based designs, and work on both digital and print projects. You should have a strong eye for detail and precision, along with excellent typography and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
* Work with a range of media.
* Copywrite and proofread to ensure high-quality, accurate work.
* Demonstrate illustrative skills through rough sketches to develop concepts.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and software, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver.
* Keep abreast of technical design and digital trends.
* Understand how design integrates with other digital channels and disciplines like UX, CRO, content management, and web development.
Experience:
* Approximately 2 years of creative and digital design experience, preferably within a creative agency or FMCG organisation.
* A strong portfolio is essential.
* A degree (or equivalent) in a design-related subject.
* A creative mindset with an eye for detail and precision.
* Proficiency in Adobe design packages.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines.
* HTML/CSS experience is desirable.
* Understanding of Shopify.
* Knowledge of designing for responsive websites.
