Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week, with shifts from 8am-8pm on days and 8pm-8am on nights. Some flexibility is required.

About the role
The Support Worker/Carer role is an opportunity for a proactive person to join an evolving Care Company. We seek a dedicated and empathetic individual. The support team will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
The team will be inducted and trained in anticipation of the person we support moving in. Support will focus on daily living skills, health needs, and supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
We require a Support Team that is empathetic and non-judgmental, with experience in managing challenging behavior.
The candidate should:
* Demonstrate positive, proactive, and organized people skills to support and develop the skills of Support Workers, including recruitment, induction, supervisions, appraisals, training, coaching, rota management, and managing sickness and absence.
* Take the lead in helping Support Workers understand their responsibilities to ensure safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led support and care at all times.
* Complete evidence-based supervisions and observation supervisions, and support Support Workers in competency-based appraisals.
* Support the Service Manager/Deputy Manager in managing transitions into and from the service.
* Liaise professionally with outside agencies, ensuring appropriate information sharing.
* Ensure all supported individuals have person-centered support/care plans, updating them as needed.
* Empower individuals to be involved in their own goal setting.
* Support the development of excellent service quality.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive service user records.
* Work supportively to empower service users to live life on their terms.
* Have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and skills in document scanning and emailing.
* Understand and ensure team understanding of 'safeguarding vulnerable adults'.
* Advocate for and protect individuals' best interests within the boundaries of the Mental Capacity Act.
* Having a driving license is desirable.
Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. We also welcome applicants with experience as Home Carer, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, Nurse, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Worker, or Voluntary Worker.
