Airfield Training Officer
Location:Birmingham Airport
Contract Type:Part time, Permanent -20 hours per week
Role Summary:
We’re looking for a motivated and engagingAirfield Training Officerto join our team at Birmingham Airport. Reporting to the Airfield Training Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality airside training to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the continued safety and competence of all airside personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver airside driving courses and related training in accordance with CAP790 and airport procedures
2. Conduct airside induction tours and support new driver training programmes
3. Coordinate and deliver winter operations training, including SRICE courses
4. Deliver Passenger Boarding Bridge, Aviramp and Aircraft Marshalling training
5. Support continuous improvement of training content and methods
6. Manage training schedules, audits and maintain accurate candidate and course records
Experience Required:
7. Level 3 Instructor (or equivalent) qualification
8. Proven experience in delivering effective training to a range of audiences
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
10. Understanding of different learning styles and coaching techniques
11. Knowledge of the airside environment or aviation operations (desirable)
12. Experience in quality assurance or compliance monitoring (desirable)
