Your Mission:
To perform installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment at UK and overseas locations.
Traveling to various locations in UK & Overseas.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Supervise/perform activities on switchgear, transformers, and related equipment between 33 - 400kV at UK, overseas, and offshore locations.
* Off-loading of new panels, switchgear, and transformers.
* Installation of new panels.
* Commissioning of electrical equipment.
* Wiring modifications and retrofit upgrades.
* Planned maintenance including visual and intrusive tests across our product range.
* Perform partial discharge testing, thermal imaging, oil sampling, etc.
* Conduct systems testing and fault diagnosis.
* Work with IEC 61850, G99, Differential, Distance schemes.
* Perform site risk assessments and assist in producing method statements.
* Document test results and produce site work reports.
* Contribute to the formulation of offers for site activities.
* Assist with works tests when necessary.
* Contribute to customer training activities.
* Promote the company's service activities, identify, and pursue business opportunities.
* Participate in the OnCall rota system to provide emergency support 24/7.
* Supervise onsite personnel, including team members and subcontractors.
* Liaise with installation/project managers.
Important Criteria for this role:
* Produce site reports/test results within 2 working days.
* Complete timesheets and expenses weekly.
* Complete Health & Safety documentation weekly.
* Complete Method Statements & Risk assessments within set timescales.
* Complete installations & maintenance against agreed timescales.
Qualifications & About You:
* Experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, & repair of switchgear & associated plant.
* Experience working alone and as part of a team at UK, overseas, and offshore locations.
* Customer/results-focused with a service disposition.
* Willing to work at nuclear, military, and offshore locations.
* Full driving license.
* Strong grounding in electrical safety principles & application.
* Academic qualifications (e.g., Degree/HNC) or relevant experience.
* Experience with high voltage testing (33kV-400kV systems), CT Magnetisation Curves, and CT Primary Injection.
* Experience with Relay Secondary Injection (electromechanical & solid state relays) and VT Primary Injection.
* Experience in control circuit wiring testing & modification and mechanical/electrical testing of 33kV - 400kV switchboards & networks.
