ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Senior Waste Assessor.
Reporting to the Waste Manager, you will be responsible for the waste classification and assessment of materials identified for potential acceptance into the Waste Treatment Facilities, as well as classification of wastes for off-site disposal. These materials include contaminated soils, other soil-like wastes, and, where appropriate, liquids. The role also involves collecting and testing samples from customers’ sites and managing customer data sets, requiring travel to customer sites as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a HNC or degree in Chemistry and a minimum of 2 years experience in waste assessment, ideally involving hazardous waste acceptance. Additionally, you will hold proven experience in waste classification (WM3), particularly for solid waste acceptance into treatment facilities and experience in brownfield remediation or contaminated land is advantageous.

For this permanent opportunity, my client is looking to offer a salary between £32,000 – £37,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
