Mode Search are partnering with a globally recognised luxury retail house in their search for a Client Development Manager to join one of their flagship London locations.
This is a pivotal role focused on cultivating a culture of client excellence, deepening relationships, and driving long-term loyalty through strategic client development initiatives. Working closely with store leadership and Head Office Client Experience teams, the successful candidate will combine analytical insight with a highly personalised, human approach to client engagement.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on client data, segmentation, and behavioural insight to drive sustainable commercial growth.
The Role
* Champion a culture of genuine relationship-building across the store team
* Act as an ambassador for client excellence, driving adoption of clienteling tools and best practices
* Recognise and celebrate exceptional service moments to elevate overall team performance
* Support the creation of meaningful, bespoke client touchpoints and experiences
* Partner with Head Office to translate client data into actionable client development strategies
* Oversee client segmentation and targeted engagement plans
* Analyse behavioural trends to identify opportunities for growth, reactivation, and deeper engagement
* Monitor capture rates, retention, and performance metrics, providing insight and reporting
* Manage a calendar of client events and notable moments, ensuring personalised outreach
* Work closely with Sales & Service teams to coach and elevate client relationship-building
* Support the delivery of local and international client experiences
* Contribute to the planning and execution of client events (invitations, outreach, logistics, RSVPs)
* Manage client feedback with empathy and professionalism, ensuring timely resolution
* Provide coaching on clienteling, segmentation, and data capture best practices
* Partner with Talent Development to enhance selling ceremonies and engagement standards
* Support effective client allocation and oversee the client services budget
Requirements
* Proven experience in Client Development, CRM, or Relationship Management within luxury or a highly client-centric environment
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into meaningful strategy
* Experience managing client segmentation and engagement initiatives
* Confident coaching and influencing retail teams
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and client management systems
