We support our team members to reach their full potential in an inclusive environment that values diversity.
Are you passionate about Lean, performance excellence, and building high-performing teams?
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement & Lean Manager to play a pivotal role in transforming our Mold site — embedding a culture of continuous improvement and delivering measurable operational results.
This is more than a CI role. It's an opportunity to shape site strategy, influence senior leaders, and build capability across the entire organisation.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Continuous Improvement Manager to develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our site. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving Lean transformation, improving operational performance, and supporting all business functions in delivering sustainable improvements.
You will act as the site's CI champion, ensuring best practices are implemented, shared, and continuously enhanced across the organisation.
Why This Role Matters
You will be the driving force behind our Lean transformation journey — championing best practice, improving OEE, eliminating waste, and enabling teams to solve problems with confidence and structure.
Working cross-functionally across Operations, Commercial, and Finance, you will turn data into insight, and insight into sustainable improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the deployment of the Smurfit Westrock Lean & CI Model across the site
Develop and execute the site-wide Continuous Improvement strategy
Drive measurable improvements in OEE, KPIs, efficiency, and cost performance
Identify losses against a zero-loss landscape and implement targeted action plans
Personally lead high-impact improvement projects
Build CI capability by coaching teams in Lean tools and structured problem-solving
Use data and statistical analysis to guide decision-making
Collaborate with CI leaders across other sites to share best practice
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who combines technical rigour with strong leadership presence.
You will bring:
Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
A strong track record of delivering structured, high-impact projects
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
Strong analytical capability and confidence working with performance data
A technical or engineering qualification (preferred)
Six Sigma certification (advantageous)
Leadership qualification (e.g., ILM Level 3 or 5 desirable)
Most importantly, you will be an engaging communicator who can energise teams and build momentum for change.
What You'll Gain
A highly visible leadership role with direct impact on site performance
The opportunity to shape and influence site strategy
Exposure to senior leadership and cross-site collaboration
The chance to build a lasting CI culture and leave a tangible legacy
A dynamic manufacturing environment committed to operational excellence
What We Offer
Competitive salary & benefits, including annual leave, pension, and a Cycle to Work scheme
Ongoing training and development opportunities
24/7 confidential support for you and your family
Flexible working options and family-friendly policies
Guaranteed interview for candidates meeting essential criteria (Disability Confident Employer)
