The Tank Museum's Education Team plays a vital role in fulfilling the charity's mission to inspire both enthusiasts and general visitors. Through formal learning programmes, school holiday activities, major event programming, and private tours, the team delivers engaging experiences that deepen understanding of tanks and the stories of those who served in them. Their work is central to the visitor experience, sparking curiosity and fostering a lifelong interest in military history and STEM. The Senior Visitor Experience Administrator is a key member of the team, responsible for coordinating group visit bookings and serving as the first point of contact for visitor enquiries via phone and online. They also manage the relationship with Friends of The Tank Museum, ensuring regular and meaningful communication with these valued supporters. In addition to these core duties, the Administrator provides wider administrative support to the Education Team and other departments as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the museum's operations. Key Accountabilities: Manage the development and implementation of all Visitor Administrator core functions on behalf of the Museum. These include; Group Bookings confirming requirements with the relevant internal departments and booking their services accordingly. Liaising with the customer. Museum membership schemes - providing excellent service and prompt communication with these valued supporters. Management of the Visit@ and info@ mailboxes and social media inboxes, ensuring customers are responded to in a timely manner. Supervising the Visitor Experience Administrator, managing their workload and output on behalf of the Education & Experience Manager. Acting as a primary phone answerer on behalf of the full museum team. Handling ticket sales and enquiries submitted over the phone or via email, promoting and upselling items to enhance visitor experiences i.e. museum guidebooks. Assisting with fundraising administration, including Patreon Supporting with Education Officer with school bookings and administration tasks. Attending key meetings, recording minutes for distribution both internally and externally as and when required. Supporting the wider museum team with administration projects as and when required. Supporting the events team with the delivery of events when required. What you'll bring: Excellent standard of education, to include written English and numeracy Proven experience in administration, initiating and implementing back office systems Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point Experience of working within a visitor attraction or museum environment is desirable Supervisory experience is preferred Where - This role is based on-site at The Tank Museum.
