The Role
The PPC / Paid Search Manager will be responsible for developing and executing paid media strategies that align with business and client objectives. You will oversee every aspect of paid search delivery, lead client communications, and collaborate across teams to integrate Paid Search with broader marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive Paid Search strategies in collaboration with clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and business objectives.
* Lead and manage day‑to‑day PPC operations, overseeing implementation and ensuring all deliverables are on time, on budget, and of high quality.
* Act as the primary Paid Search subject matter expert (SME) and main point of contact for assigned clients and internal stakeholders.
* Identify growth opportunities and create account roadmaps in partnership with account and media teams.
* Build and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships with Client Services, E‑commerce, Content, and Creative teams.
* Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of campaigns across Google Marketing Platform products—including Google Ads, DV360, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, and other platforms—ensuring measurable results and achievement of KPIs.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the PPC team, fostering professional growth and skill development.
* Conduct account audits, performance analyses, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients.
* Continuously optimise campaign delivery processes and templates to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Stay up-to-date with evolving paid search trends, platform updates, AI automation tools, and best practices in digital marketing.

You must have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines. You’ll combine a hands-on approach with strategic thinking, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable impact for JACK RYAN and our clients.
You’ll Bring
* Hands‑on PPC campaign management experience across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
* Proven account management experience and strong client communication and presentation skills.
* Deep understanding of campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience targeting, keyword research, and ad copy optimisation.
* Analytical, problem‑solving, organisational, and time‑management skills—capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced project management capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to develop and implement campaign strategies in collaboration with management and team members.
Paid Search Manager Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education & Technical Background
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with a strong academic background (English A‑Level B+ or Scottish equivalent).
* 3–5+ years’ experience in Paid Search campaign management, digital advertising, or performance marketing.
* Google Ads and Microsoft Ads certifications (current).
* Experience with Google Analytics 4, SA360, DV360, GMP.
* Advanced proficiency in Sheets/Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker Studio / Data Studio.
* Familiarity with Universal App Campaigns (UAC) and Apple Search Ads (ASA).
* Experience managing large monthly budgets (£100k+) with proven ROI performance.
* Knowledge of AI‑driven optimisation tools, automation strategies, and emerging campaign formats (e.g. Performance Max, Microsoft Audience Network).

* Excellent presentation and communication abilities with experience reporting to senior stakeholders or clients.
