Corporate Finance Director
Exeter | Circa £95,000 – £125,000 | Permanent
This firm has a formidable reputation for deal-making in the South West and is now looking for a Director to help lead its Corporate Finance offering in Exeter. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines. The Partners want a deal-maker who can lead transactions from inception to completion, managing a high-quality team and a significant pipeline of local and national mandates. The path to Partnership is clear, and the firm has a proven track record of delivering it for high performers.
The Role
* Lead a wide range of corporate finance assignments, including company sales, management buy-outs (MBOs), acquisitions, and growth capital raises.
* Act as the senior point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice on valuations, deal structures, and negotiation tactics.
* Take responsibility for the quality of financial due diligence reports and information memoranda prepared by the wider team.
* Play an active role in business development, leveraging your network of solicitors, banks, and private equity houses to build a strong deal pipeline.
* Mentor and develop the Corporate Finance team, providing technical leadership and supporting the career progression of managers and seniors.
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience specifically within a Corporate Finance practice or boutique.
* Experienced at Director or Senior Manager level with a demonstrable track record of successfully closed lead advisory mandates.
* Commercially astute with the interpersonal skills to lead high-pressure negotiations and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
* A credible senior presence in the Exeter business community with a proactive approach to networking and deal origination.
* Technically strong across valuations and financial modelling, with the ability to provide clear, commercial advice to business owners.
Why This Role
Exeter is a key growth hub for the firm, and the Corporate Finance team is central to that strategy. You will have the autonomy to lead your own deals while being backed by a national brand and a highly collaborative Partner group. This is a practice where your contribution is highly visible and where the route to Equity Partnership is genuine and well-supported. For a Corporate Finance professional looking for a senior leadership role in Devon, this is a standout opportunity.
