ENGINEERING DAY TECHNICIAN – AMCOR FLEXIBLES ILKESTON

We have an opportunity for a pro-active Engineer to join the team at Ilkeston. This role operates on days with a 39 hour working week Monday to Friday. Flexibility will also be required with some out-of-hours support, shift cover and call-out being required at times.
About the Role:
This position will primarily perform routine and preventative tasks for the Engineering department. Maintenance shall include both mechanical and electrical work. The role will involve working in a high-speed, high volume production environment.
Key Job Accountabilities:
As part of the Engineering Team you'll be responsible for:
• Supporting the health, safety and environment (HSE) agenda within the team
• Support with risk and PUWER assessments
• Supporting the Extrusion Department
• Carrying out the site's PPM schedule
• Die cleaning and routine maintenance
• Supporting other team members to achieve planned workload
• Diagnose breakdown issues, make repairs as necessary and seeking assistance where required
• Contractor control
• Providing backup for the Engineering Team Leader as required
Qualifications/Requirements
• 3 years experience in a similar role, having been involved with the maintenance of plant and equipment in a process plant
• Manufacturing / Engineering background
• Ideally Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
• Electronic qualifications
• Analytical skills, organizational and good communication skills
• Enthusiastic and innovate approach to work
• Counterbalance FLT License (training can be provided)
• IT Literate
