GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in secondary schools across North Leicester. Role Overview:
As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Support students with communication, social, emotional, and physical needs.
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans (ILPs).
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school SEN setting.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
