We want hands-on knowledge of API Gateway REST/V1, including authorizers, routing, and gateway responses. We require experience with Middy middleware and RESTful API design using OpenAPI specifications. We expect experience with AWS integration patterns such as cross-account STS AssumeRole, Secrets Manager, DynamoDB, and SNS. We need strong AWS infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS CDK and/or SST. We expect familiarity with core AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store, and SNS. Responsibilities: We develop and maintain multi-step transfer journeys across our transfer products. We own the full stack, including React frontends, AWS Lambda BFF layers, and infrastructure as code. We drive technical strategy for the transfers domain and deliver improvements aligned with our company engineering direction. We identify technical debt, propose modernisation, and improve developer experience. We contribute to architectural decisions around API design, infrastructure patterns, and cross-service integration. We collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to evolve integration patterns. We support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments. We mentor other engineers and help shape team-wide engineering standards.
