Overview
Due to this growth our client is now seeking to recruit a commercially focussed Financial Director to work closely with the directors of the business assisting them in taking the business to the next level in line with its 5 year strategy.
Responsibilities
* Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
* Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
* Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel
* Oversee the external audit and liaise directly with the auditors
* Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with banks, customers and suppliers
* Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis and report directly to the board
* Assist with hiring a finance manager/assistant to support you in your role
* Ensure the stock system is properly maintained and reporting accurate figures
* Conduct analysis to make financial forecasts and cash flows
* Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines

Requirements and skills
* Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
* Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
* Proficient in the use of MS Office and preferably experience with Xero
* An analytical mind with a strategic ability
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
