We welcome applications from Police Officers for the role of Intelligence Officer, to work within the Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) Intelligence Team.
The Intelligence Management Units are responsible for receiving, assessing, and managing threat, harm, and risk, taking appropriate action to develop, reduce, and manage the risk presented. The IMU conduct assessments of the intelligence to reach decisions on how and where to progress the intelligence. The FIMU assess all new intelligence entering the CT Policing network from various sources, ensuring any identified risk is managed on behalf of the Chief Constable. This is an exciting opportunity to develop intelligence within the extreme right-wing terrorism sphere, whilst supporting CT Investigations.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional, and local network, and you may be required to travel mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will need a full UK driving licence.
You will also be required to perform on-call duties for immediate response across the South East region.
Due to the nature of our work, security is paramount. The successful candidate must obtain and maintain vetting level DV, along with other security checks. Applicants must be British Nationals who have resided in the UK for the past ten years; exemptions may apply for overseas or diplomatic service with HM Government, or studying abroad. Be aware that successful applicants may face travel restrictions to certain countries.
More information about security vetting can be found here.
