Job overview We are looking to appoint a motivated Consultant who can assist in the running of the Hewitt Fertility Centre (HFC). This is a whole time substantive post in gynaecology and fertility, based at Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with sessions at Hewitt Fertility Centre, Knutsford. The post is designed to strengthen the existing team of Consultants who provide acute and general gynaecological care to the women of Liverpool and the surrounding areas of Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible with their weekly timetable as service need dictates. The job plan will be tailored to the skill set of the successful applicant. Skills in laparoscopic surgery, ambulatory procedures and hysteroscopic surgery would be an advantage. There will be requirement to work the weekend rota and consultant on-call rota. Advert The post is advertised as a 10 PA job plan, however, the job plan is flexible, subject to the development of the service, and the particular interests of the successful candidate. This may include special interest PAs or departmental leadership roles. Please use UKVI guidance on Skilled Worker Visas to determine your eligibility for sponsorship if you were to gain a conditional offer for this role. https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/your-job Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post will be part of the reproductive medicine team and will have DCC programmed activities in General Gynaecology which will include ambulatory and gynaecology theatre as well as contribution to the gynaecology on-call rota. In line with all Consultants int he Trust, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to: Complaints and Adverse event reviews Guideline development and review Service development within the work plan of the Division Mentorship from senior Consultant colleagues will be provided. Participation in a continuous training and education programme for all clinical staff is a requirement of the post. Involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training would also be expected. The post holder will be expected to have the minimum requirements for level 1 educational supervision. The post holder is expected to take an active role in research within the department. Posts advertised to ‘internal staff’ are open to employees of hospitals within University Hospitals of Liverpool Group and you should confirm your employment within your application form. The amount of £21.50(standard) or £41.50(enhanced) can be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement in post. DBS applications submitted from 2nd December will be subject to the new DBS fee of £26.40 (standard) and £54.40 (Enhanced).
