Role Overview
Linx, a Veralto company, is looking for a VAVE Mechanical Engineer to create and deliver innovative solutions for technical cost‑reduction projects while maintaining product quality. The role is part of the Product Quality & Innovation segment of Veralto, a global leader committed to ensuring access to clean water, safe food, medicine, and trusted essential goods.
Responsibilities
* Identification and execution of technical savings projects to meet annual incremental cost‑reduction targets.
* Participation in internal and supplier VAVE workshops to identify and quantify cost savings opportunities.
* Centrally design, prototype, and test design concepts safely, following workplace safety practices and maintaining accurate records using engineering change notifications (ECN), version control, and other engineering standard work.
* Create design concepts and final production parts using PTC Creo and PTC Windchill PLM software, generating technical drawings and 3D models with GD&T detailing.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support manufacturing, supply chain, and quality engineering functions.
Qualifications
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or other CAD/document management systems.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and principles, including sheet metal processing, injection‑moulding, and composite manufacturing.
* Strong engineering skills (theoretical and practical) to conduct design and analyses of mechanical systems.
* Willingness to work from the office a minimum of three days per week.
