Who You Are You are a dedicated and flexible individual residing in the Plymouth City Council Area. You enjoy working with children and young adults with diverse needs, and you are ready to accompany them on their journeys to and from educational institutions. You are adaptable and can provide last-minute cover for Passenger Assistants who are unavailable. What the job involves As a Passenger Assistant, you will accompany children and young adults, often with additional needs, on their transport to and from school or college. You will provide cover for other Passenger Assistants during their working hours, typically between 07.00-10.00 and 14.00-17.00, Monday to Friday. This role offers variety, allowing you to meet and support a range of students by ensuring their safe transit across Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall. You will be given one day of 'classroom' training and then accompany a seasoned PA on a route. Working hours are variable, and you will be part of a relief register to provide cover as required.
