Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Migration Support Technician to assist with a major hardware refresh project. Your primary role will be to facilitate a smooth device migration process for end users, working closely with the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager to coordinate device movements, assist users, and keep accurate records throughout the migration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and manage the Refresh Clinic for device migrations.
2. Transport devices from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic as needed.
3. Help users log into systems and refresh laptops.
4. Distribute new devices and collect old ones according to the migration schedule.
5. Maintain accurate updates in the workflow management system at each step.
6. Report and escalate any issues encountered during migration.
7. Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings.
8. Ensure secure packaging and storage of devices for disposal or refurbishment.
9. Lock and secure all equipment at the end of each day.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Experience in IT support, device migration, or technical refresh projects.
2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
4. Experience with workflow management systems.
5. Good problem-solving and issue reporting skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Must hold an active SC clearance to be eligible for this role.
