The opportunity
The IT Analytics Specialist is responsible for leveraging data and analytics tooling to support IT operations, enhance decision making, optimize system performance, and deliver business insights. This role bridges the gap between IT services and our emerging data strategy, ensuring our business intelligence technologies operate efficiently and effectively in support of business objectives.
* Providing actionable insights and trends to IT teams and business stakeholders
* Collecting, processing, and analyzing data related to business goals supported by IT
* Creating dashboards and visualizations using approved analytics platforms
* Assisting with the integration of data-rich systems and analytics platforms to meet business requirements and facilitate “self-service” use of BI tools
* Developing reports and data-backed recommendations aligned to approved projects and changes
* Supporting the automation of data collection and reporting processes
* Identifying opportunities to improve the performance and efficiency of analytics solutions
* Together with the Information Security team, ensuring data privacy, security and integrity aligned to analytics platforms
* Together with the Enterprise Architecture team, assisting in delivering a cloud-based enterprise data platform aligned to our emerging data strategy and governance
About you
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Essential
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and Qliksense
* Strong technical proficiency in data queries related to Microsoft SQL Server
* Experience of using APIs in relation to application integration
* Experience of applying project management methodologies
* Effective communication and use of “user stories” to analyze analytics requirements
Desirable
* Experience in a regulated industry, ideally life sciences
* Experience of IBM Cognos Analytics and Hubble platforms
* Experience of ETL tools
