As part of the recruitment team, you will provide highly visible, effective end-to-end recruitment solutions to find the best talent for our business. You will ensure we attract and retain diverse, high-caliber talent to build the strategic capabilities we need for the future. Reporting to the HR Business Partner for Howden Consumer & Local Commercial, this position is key to driving recruitment best practices and providing high-touch business partnering support as we embed and promote our recruitment model.
The successful candidate will have experience in embedding consistent recruitment practices across multiple sites and hiring in fast-paced, highly commercial, entrepreneurial environments. Additionally, experience in delivering beyond day-to-day operations and working with the wider HR team and Centres of Expertise (CoE) on strategic HR initiatives is essential. Key Accountabilities
1. Embed best practice hiring tools and techniques to support the decentralized recruitment model across Howden Consumer & Local Commercial.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to build the recruitment brand and encourage manager engagement at all levels.
3. Lead strategic Talent Acquisition initiatives with CoEs and HRBPs, aligned with the wider HR plan to drive business growth and a high-performance culture.
4. Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, from initiation to onboarding and pre-hire activities.
5. Act as an employer brand ambassador, delivering a first-class candidate experience at all stages.
6. Work closely with HR and line managers to understand resourcing needs.
7. Proactively source talent using various organic channels like social media, online forums, and CV databases.
8. Maintain and develop assessment tools as needed.
9. Provide best practice advice to hiring managers, influence decision-making, and promote inclusive hiring practices.
10. Produce regular recruitment reports, ensuring D&I considerations are integrated.
11. Coach managers to improve interviewing and selection skills, and educate the wider business on recruitment approaches.
12. Maintain the Workday Recruiting ATS for accurate reporting.
