Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for your next challenge in the defence sector? We’re recruiting for a leading organisation in the maritime defence industry, seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to play a critical role in their commercial operations.
The Role As Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll lead a small commercial team, managing high-value defence contracts and ensuring strategic, compliant, and commercially sound decision-making. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and government partners, negotiating and managing complex contracts while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a small commercial team, ensuring high performance and professional development
Oversee and negotiate complex defence contracts, ensuring commercial success and risk mitigation
Manage customer relationships, acting as the key commercial point of contact
Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business objectives
Ensure compliance with UK defence procurement regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in commercial/contracts management within the defence or maritime sector
Strong knowledge of MoD procurement and defence contracting frameworks
Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage a small team
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a complex, regulated environment, ensuring compliance and risk management
