Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Band 3 Dietetic Support Worker to support a Nutritionist working alongside the Dietetic Prescribing Support Team in a project focused on managing malnutrition within care homes. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, on a fixed-term basis for 18 months.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of this project, particularly in replacing oral nutritional supplements and promoting a food-based approach to managing malnutrition.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of a project to replace Oral Nutritional Supplements in Care Homes.
* Assist with engagement meetings and promote a food-based approach, including the use of homemade nutritional milkshakes and nutrient-dense diets.
* Work closely with the Dietetic Prescribing Support Team and contribute to resource review, implementation, evaluation, and data collection.
* Participate in the development and adaptation of the scheme under the guidance of the Nutritionist, Prescribing Dietetic Team Lead, and Primary Care Dietetic Manager.
Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (LNDS) employs approximately 80 staff, including dietitians, public health nutritionists, support workers, and administrative staff, serving Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland.
