Job Description
Deputy Payroll Manager (6000+ person payroll) Maternity cover. 12 months.
Based SE London 3 days each week in the office.
Must be able to start immediately / within 1-2 weeks (December start 2025).
Must have large payroll experience.
Must have people leadership experience.
Must have knowledge of Payroll processes, controls and legislation.
Desirable to have some experience of working for a Charity / NfP or related business.
£42000-£47000 salary (max banding for role)
Are you an experienced payroll professional with leadership / people management skills? We’re seeking a motivated Deputy Payroll Manager to support the delivery of multiple complex payrolls across the UK and international jurisdictions for a 12 month maternity cover.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Payroll Manager and assist in managing 8 monthly payrolls for a large and varied workforce.
* Ensure compliance with HMRC and other statutory requirements.
* Oversee accurate and timely payroll processes with robust controls.
* Support and develop payroll assistants (team of 4)
* Collaborate with HR, finance, and other key stakeholders.
