Hays Accountancy and Finance are pleased to be working with a brilliant public sector organisation in South Yorkshire, who are looking to add a ledger clerk into their team on a temporary basis.
Your new role
1. Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and investigate discrepancies
2. Jointly manage the payment run for designated areas
3. Accurately answering any internal and external queries regarding payments
4. Reconcile supplier statements and review month-end unmatched orders.
5. Maintain accurate supplier ledgers
6. Work collaboratively with other members of the team and provide cover for annual leave.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Possess experience and a good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
8. Be able to demonstrate accurate data entry skills.
9. Possess the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
10. Possess a proven ability to organise and prioritise your own workload to achieve deadlines.
11. Be proactive in your approach, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and be willing to learn new skills.
