Purpose of the Role
The Depot Sales Coordinator will be based in our Exeter operation and report directly to the Depot Manager. The role is varied: 80% of the time is spent processing orders, maintaining stock levels and providing face‑to‑face customer service; the remaining 20% involves retrieving stock using a forklift truck (full training provided). The position is centrally located in Exeter and easily accessible by public transport.
Main Responsibilities
A typical day involves processing sales orders using an in‑house computer system, stock management, handling card‑payment transactions at a trade counter and dealing with telephone enquiries and in‑person customers. Where applicable, you will operate the forklift truck to load and unload vehicles (full training will be given) and assist in distributing orders for packed products using specified hauliers. The role sits in a small, highly supportive team with a family feel.
The Ideal Candidate
Computer literate and willing to learn our in‑house systems. Ability to train on our Reach forklift truck if currently unable to do so. Positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation are essential.
