Halton Borough Council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team in the Halton area. Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting initial assessments of children and families in need of support.
2. Managing a diverse caseload, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
3. Collaborating with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children.
4. Undertaking home visits, building rapport with families, and ensuring effective interventions.
5. Producing high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes.
6. Responding promptly to referrals, assessing risk and need, and ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).
2. Registration with Social Work England.
3. Proven experience within a Duty and Assessment team or a similar frontline social work role.
4. Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and social work legislation.
5. Ability to manage a complex caseload while maintaining high standards of practice.
6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
7. Car for work purposes.
