Job Description
A leading international energy services provider is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Aberdeen-based team. This pivotal role sits within the Legal and Compliance function, supporting both UK and international operations across a diverse portfolio of logistics and materials management services.
As Legal Counsel, you’ll be at the heart of strategic legal decision-making, supporting business units with contract review and negotiation—particularly LOGIC-type contracts—and advising on key compliance areas such as GDPR, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, and data protection. You’ll also contribute to group-level initiatives including insurance renewals, M&A activity, and financing exercises, working closely with external advisers and reporting directly to the Group General Counsel.
To be considered, you’ll require a current practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland or the Law Society of England and Wales, with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a corporate or commercial legal setting. Commercial contracts experience and knowledge is an essential and key requirement for the role. In-house or in private practice background will be considered for the position. Applicants should have the ability to communicate effectively, think analytically, and operate well under pressure.
