My client, a sustainably:minded, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of expert design engineers, in the scenic, northern Cathedral City of York, North Yorkshire.
Essential Criteria:
* A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline
* Extensive experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies
* Demonstrable experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Excellent working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
* Knowledge of the relevant software packages, including InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and others
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience of working closely with a diverse team, providing leadership and mentorship
* Demonstrable experience of developing and managing stakeholder relations
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to have the following:
* Experience of having managed teams or projects
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant 3D design software
* Good time management skills
* Excellent communication skills

Progressing through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:
* Leading a team in producing a broad range of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
* Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest of standards, within the given timeframes and designated budgets
* Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
* Reviewing and approving accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, drawings, and models
* Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders, and managing relationships with them
* Undertaking site meetings and inspections
* Developing and maintaining client relations
* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
