They are seeking a Project Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support key business projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong control across all activities.
As a Project Accountant, you will:
1. Partner with project managers to track budgets, forecasts, and actual spend
2. Provide insightful financial analysis and commentary on project performance
3. Support month-end reporting, accruals, and reconciliations for project costs
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
5. Contribute to business cases, investment appraisals, and post-project reviews
6. Drive process improvements and support wider finance transformation initiatives
As a Project Accountant, you will need:
7. Proven experience in management or project accounting
8. Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret financial data
9. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with non-finance stakeholders
10. A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail
11. Part or fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
