Job overview
We are seeking a dynamic registered Respiratory Specialist Nurse or Physiotherapist to join our highly specialised respiratory team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves delivering high‑quality care to patients with respiratory disease across North Tees, both in clinic and in their homes, covering maternity leave in a fixed term position.
Main duties of the job
* Provide proactive, specialist assessment and management of patients with complex respiratory presentations.
* Develop and implement pathway‑based interventions in partnership with senior clinicians.
* Conduct ongoing patient assessment and review, including in‑home visits, and ensure timely follow‑up.
* Collaborate with hospital teams and wider multidisciplinary team, maintaining effective communication.
* Work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet patient needs.
Person specification
* Registered Respiratory Nurse or Physiotherapist with recent respiratory care training.
* Experience in community‑based respiratory care, including asthma, pulmonary rehabilitation, or home oxygen service.
* Strong clinical assessment, management and patient education skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
