Role: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Pengwern College
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours, part-time considered
Salary/Benefits: Up to £44,967 per annum
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) looking to join our multidisciplinary team?
This role involves delivering SLT services and supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), often with complex needs and challenging behaviors.

Job Responsibilities:
* Assess communication needs in various environments and implement high and low tech AAC systems based on assessments.
* Provide functional targets and recommendations to promote effective communication.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the implementation of therapeutic approaches.
* Respond to referrals and ensure an inclusive communication environment.
* Complete audits and utilize the RCSLT 5 good communication standards.
* Contribute to service development and work effectively within the SLT team.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or ASD, preferably with AAC approaches.
