Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time

Pay: Market-related, dependent on experience

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a school environment?
A friendly and supportive primary school in Bridport is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child requiring tailored support throughout the school day.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning and/or behavioural needs
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement and adapt individual learning strategies
* Encourage participation, independence and emotional wellbeing
* Assist with daily classroom activities and transitions
* Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 or SEN capacity is highly desirable
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
* DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
