We have an exciting opportunity for a Sister/Charge Nurse with strong leadership qualities and current pre-op experience and you must be fully aware of the surgical pathway.
You will be able to guide and support new and junior members of the team, liaise with multi disciplinary teams and lead Surgical Arrivals.
Main duties of the job
Pre op assess patients fitness for elective surgery.
Lead a team and be able to train and support new and junior members of a diverse team.
Escalate any issues or concerns appropriately.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To support and work with the manager to provide effective management. To take regular charge in the clinical areas in the absence of the Manager. Provide co- ordination in the department
Communicate proactively with all staff regarding plans of patient treatment and ensure accurate nursing records are maintained.
Ensure work with the Trust Department policies in order to maintain professional, clinical and patient safety

1. Current pre-assessment experience
2. Able to lead Surgical Arrivals and communicate with MDT
Skills

4. Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. Current Registered Nurse with the NMC
6. Degree in Nurse related specialty or working towards
