As an IT Technician, you’ll be a vital part of our IT team, providing first-line support across our organisation with a “security first” mindset. You’ll support end-users, manage day-to-day IT operations, and contribute to wider infrastructure and project work. Working with modern IT solutions across cloud services, hybrid infrastructure, and secure device management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is keen to grow their skills in a supportive and technically minded team.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for IT support, owning the helpdesk queue and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests.
* Deliver first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, and escalating to senior members of the team where appropriate.
* Maintain and troubleshoot a hybrid IT estate, including: on-premises Windows Server environments; and Microsoft 365 tenant administration
* Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching across devices and systems.
* Document known issues and solutions in the internal Knowledge Base.
* Assist in IT projects such as deployments, migrations, and hardware upgrades.
* Uphold IT compliance, security policies, and best practices.
* Minimum 1 year experience in a first-line IT support or helpdesk role
* Recognised IT qualification (e.g. CompTIA A+ or equivalent)
* Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and certification
* Eligible and able to obtain and hold a UK Security Clearance (SC)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Working knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, and Active Directory
* Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services
* Familiarity with IT service desk platforms and ticketing systems
* Basic networking understanding (DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
Additional Information:
* Occasional travel may be required to remote sites in Letchworth and Toulouse
* Some out-of-hours work may be necessary to support maintenance or project work
