Were hiring a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join our experienced engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in keeping our food processing machinery and facilities running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on production and packaging equipment
* Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Assist with preventative maintenance schedules
* Work with the production team to ensure machines operate at peak performance
* Contribute to improvement projects and equipment upgrades
* Keep accurate records and follow health and safety protocols
What Were Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally in FMCG or food manufacturing
* Strong mechanical skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes)
* Engineering qualifications
* Basic electrical knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
* A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on your own initiative
* Willingness to work shifts (if required)
