Temp to Perm Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard‑working Class 2 Driver / Yardman to join a busy waste management company. This is a hybrid role, combining Class 2 vehicle driving (40%) with hands‑on yard duties (60%), offering variety and steady weekday work.
This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
Role Details
1. Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
2. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
3. Contract: Temp to Perm
4. Location: Paddock Wood
Key Responsibilities
5. Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out collections and movements as required
6. General yard duties, including: Loading and unloading waste materials Breaking down items in the yard Assisting with waste disposal operations Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
7. Working closely with the yard and transport teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
8. Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
9. Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
10. CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
11. No more than 6 points on your licence
12. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors
13. Good understanding of health and safety procedures
