This is an exciting opportunity to join the pharmacy procurement team in providing accurate and timely distribution of pharmaceuticals across NHS Borders.
PSWs assist with the ordering, receipt, storage, and issue of pharmaceutical products in line with departmental procedures. Duties include receiving medications from suppliers, ensuring efficient storage, stock management (including stock checks and expiry checks), ward top-up services, and general support within the pharmacy department. This role involves physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and bending daily.
Applicants must have Standard grade level 3, Nat 4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics/Arithmetic, and demonstrate a commitment to achieving S/NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or a recognized equivalent qualification.
Applicants should be able to work effectively in a busy, physical environment and possess good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and keyboard skills.
