The Opportunity
We’re looking for talented Electrical Engineers to join our growing team, experience in Instrumentation and Controls would also be advantageous. Whether you’re an experienced leader ready to take on strategic responsibilities or a mid-level professional eager to develop, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to winning and delivering projects across the UK within the Energy, Water, and Resources sectors.
You’ll collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable solutions, while supporting project delivery to meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations. The role offers exposure to a wide range of projects, including renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro, and energy storage), water treatment and distribution, wastewater, and industrial systems, where you’ll apply and expand your knowledge of electrical and control systems design, CDM regulations, and relevant tools.
Throughout, you’ll play a part in advancing Arup’s mission to create a low-carbon, equitable future aligned with our values and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong background in electrical design, ideally within Energy, Water, or Resources sectors
• Ability to produce and interpret detailed design documentation and drawings
• Experience with relevant design tools and software (e.g. Trimble and other industry-standard systems)
• Understanding of Electrical and/or Control Systems engineering, with specialist knowledge in at least one area
• For senior candidates: experience managing multidisciplinary projects and strong knowledge of CDM regulations
• For mid-level candidates: enthusiasm to learn and develop technical and leadership skills
• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it is desirable
