Full-Time Humanities Teacher

History, Geography or RE | January 2026 Start
Paid to Scale with Full Planning and Marking

If you love bringing the world to life through stories, ideas, people, and places, this could be the perfect next step. We’re looking for a full-time Humanities Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary setting from January 2026. Whether your strength is History, Geography, RE, or a mix of the three, you’ll be joining a school that genuinely believes in high standards, strong relationships, and ambitious futures for every student.

The school has a clear, values-driven culture where kindness, respect, and aspiration sit at the heart of daily life. Behaviour expectations are consistent and well embedded, which means classrooms feel calm, purposeful, and ready for great teaching. Staff wellbeing is taken seriously too, with supportive leadership and a team that works together rather than in silos. It’s the sort of place where you can focus on what you do best, confident that the structures around you will help you thrive.

What you’ll be doing

1. Teaching inspiring Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4

2. Taking full responsibility for planning, marking, assessment, and progress

3. Creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences that help learners think deeply

4. Working as part of a collaborative department that shares ideas and supports each other

5. Modelling the school’s values through strong relationships and high expectations

What the school offers

6. A calm, consistent behaviour culture that enables real learning

7. A leadership team committed to excellent teaching and staff development

8. A community-minded environment where every student is encouraged to aim high

9. Clear routines and strong pastoral support, so you can focus on great lessons

10. A friendly, ambitious staff team that champions positive change

What we’re looking for

11. UK QTS in Humanities or a related subject

12. Confident classroom practice with a passion for your specialism

13. A teacher who enjoys high expectations and a supportive culture

14. Someone who values teamwork, wellbeing, and clear purpose

Why work with Protocol Education?

15. Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella deductions

16. FREE access to our online CPD Academy

17. Personalised support from a dedicated local consultant

18. Opportunities across mainstream, SEND, and alternative settings

19. Streamlined registration and ongoing development

If you want to teach Humanities in a school that balances ambition with kindness, this role is well worth a conversation. Send over your CV or give me a quick call and we’ll take it from there.
