We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to become part of our Procurement & Finance Operations team at Mills & Reeve.

The role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our busy department. You will review expense claims accurately, provide administrative support across procurement and finance activities, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The person

This role suits someone with previous administrative experience, confident in technology use, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Experience in procurement or handling expense claims is beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), data input, and digital systems is important. The ideal candidate is organized, logical, deadline-driven, and proactive in process improvement and relationship building.

The activities

* Operational support: raise purchase orders, review expense claims, assist with supplier onboarding.
* Team collaboration & leadership: support initiatives, help colleagues, suggest process improvements.
* Data & systems management: maintain supplier records, generate reports, manage online accounts.
* Administrative support: organize documents, arrange meetings, support audit preparations.
