Overview
An innovative pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Principal Scientist to join their analytical team at their cutting-edge facility. The principal scientist will be responsible for leading lab-based work to support synthetic route development for APIs.
Principal Scientist Responsibilities:
* Lead and guide analytical development on complex chemistry projects for pharmaceutical / Biotechnology clients working in multidisciplinary teams.
* Develop and validate analytical methods (HPLC / LCMS / GCMS / NMR / XRD etc.) to support early, mid and late phase synthetic route development for APIs.
* Provide expert analytical advice to process chemistry colleagues.
* Interface with clients to communicate data, results, and conclusions effectively.
Qualifications
* A higher or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
* Strong expertise in Analytical Chemistry, with hands-on experience in LC/GC method development and other analytical methodologies (e.g., NMR, MS, IR, XRD).
* A proven track record in analytical project leadership.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements for developing and validating LC/GC methods for APIs, intermediates, and raw materials.
* Experience in investigating out-of-specification and atypical results.
* Experience in analytical support for early, mid, or late-phase API development.
