Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will design, develop and evaluate high‑quality, engaging learning products that support the development needs of our global professional community. Working closely with subject matter experts, facilitators and internal stakeholders, you will translate complex technical content into compelling learning experiences across in‑person, virtual and digital formats.
Reporting to the Head of Learning Design and Development, you will ensure that all learning solutions apply modern instructional design principles, meet accessibility standards and reflect emerging technologies and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
* Design learner‑centred professional development products using adult learning theory and established instructional design models.
* Develop instructional materials including syllabuses, lesson plans, facilitator guides, e‑learning modules and microlearning assets.
* Translate complex technical content into clear, practical and engaging learning experiences across multiple formats.
* Collaborate with e‑learning specialists to storyboard and build interactive digital learning products.
* Apply accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) standards to all learning materials.
* Partner closely with SMEs and Product Leads to define learning objectives, scope and assessment strategies.
About You
You are an experienced instructional designer with a strong understanding of adult learning, digital design and professional development. You combine creativity with structure, and enjoy working collaboratively with SMEs, designers and stakeholders to produce world‑class learning solutions. You’re proactive, confident, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects in a global environment.
* Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories, including application in digital learning.
* Proficiency with e‑learning authoring tools (preferably Articulate Storyline and Rise).
* Experience creating storyboards for e‑learning, video and interactive learning assets.
* Knowledge of assessment design and curriculum/lesson planning.
* Strong writing skills for instructional copy, scripts and content.
